Open call for Maths and Science teachers to become ECB Teachers

Brussels, June 23, 2011
In February 2011, always in accordance with its major aim to foster Maths, Science and Technology education, European Schoolnet (EUN) started working on a new project: the European Coordinating Body for Maths, Science and Technology, more commonly known as ECB or "Ingenious".

In that frame, teachers play an important role as they stand in the foreground of the education scene through their in-class experience, but also are in the midfield between the policy makers/European Commission funded projects and the pupils.

EUN is thus looking for 10 Maths, Science or Technology teachers from each the following 14 countries

Austria Finland Slovakia
Czech Republic France Spain
Denmark Italy Sweden
Germany Netherlands United Kingdom
Estonia Portugal

to join the project as pilot schools. In addition, there will be a 15th group of 10 teachers from any EU country not included in the above 14.

Main task:
ECB teachers will implement with their classes at least 3 initiatives from a selection of good practice initiatives which describe industry-school cooperation to help understand the conditions under which they can be reused in different contexts.
